After fixing the starter and replacing the rear tires with the Carlisle All Trails, I noticed the transmission was leaking at the seam close to the engine. The repair shop that replaced my PTO clutch last fall said no warranty and they would not work on the tractor again. So my question is, is there a way to seal the seam of the transmission where the split case comes together externally ?

If it’s leaking at the seam where the engine meets the trans than you could pull the engine and run a thin bead of RTV on the mounting surface. If the the trans case is leaking between the two halves than it needs to come apart again to replace the case seal.

You could try draining the oil from the trans, degreasing the area really well, and then applyinh RTV or JB Weld over the outside of the area that’s leaking. That may or may not work.
