Doesn't John Deere make a plow attachment for x300 and put a hitch connector on the back? But you're not supposed to use them?
Doesn't John Deere make a plow attachment for x300 and put a hitch connector on the back? But you're not supposed to use them? This customer used his tractor for plowing snow, and pulling a loaded cart behind the tractor. You will notice that the oil inside the transmission came out the vent because it got so hot. This transmission is not made for this type of use. This is not covered under warranty.

Yes it is.Is that a K46 Tuff Torq?
I agree, at least the K58.Why Deere did this is beyond me.. NO, I repeat... NO.... Select Series should have ever had anything below the K66!
I too would like to know what was done out of spec? You cannot pull a loaded cart? This transmission is not made for this type of use. This is not covered under warranty.
Shame on you for doing that, how dare you use it for what it's intended ! :00000060:I agree mine went out at 85 hrs and I never plowed bladed or pulled a cart. I did pull a lawn roller and a small spreader with 25lbs of seed in it.

Just make sure you don't put 50 lbs in the spreader, I'd hate to see you blow the tranny in this one.I agree mine went out at 85 hrs and I never plowed bladed or pulled a cart. I did pull a lawn roller and a small spreader with 25lbs of seed in it.
