I have a 1450 and I appear to have a leak somewhere. I think that maybe it is around the shaft for the internal brakes. I understand there is an o-ring in there and I was wondering what kind of an operation it would be to change that? Really big deal? If so I will put up with it for awhile untill winter, if not I will fix right away

There is a cork seal between the pump and the rear end on your hydrostat. It is about a $5 item at your local dealer, but you have to tear the rear end down to replace it. I am trying to figure out how to attach the document I have to show you how to do it. Having a bit of trouble

Sounds like a winter project. Is it a matter of splitting and replaceing the gasket or does it have to be disassembled also, splitting would be no problem.....I think
