The pin is a taper fit into the housing, you have a nut on the inside you have to get to to. It is easiest to remove the left side to get to it, don't know of any other way to really do it.
Thanks, I had a bad feeling that was going to be the answer. Maybe just leaving it will keep the bottom of the tractor oiled up and help in rust prevention. Looking at your picture, it appears that the hole is not wallowed out any so it could just need tightening..Thanks Ken, a picture is worth 1000 words.
