Trans axel fluid

I have 521613x89a Murray It is a larger tractor. 24 hp 52 inch deck. It is foot pedal hydro. I parked it last summer as trans was acting up and I did not have time to work on it. I did look in the fill hole and whatever fluid is in there looked like chocolate milk. My question is what fluid goes in the transmission/rearend? I have the time to work on it now before
mowing season starts.

Where did you get that identification information?...I can't find anything on TractorData using that data.......I am pretty sure you can use either type F ATF...or 10W30 Motor Oil

partsandservice.com/bin/ipl.cgi this is a link to a program I got years ago. the tractor had no numbers on it when I got it and after much trial and error, I found this number and use it when I can't find them somewhere else.
Does it tell you what trans is in the machine?
My Wheel Horse is an automatic that uses a pump to drive the tractor and it uses 10W30 this is an older tractor and still has this info on the trans.axel as to what oil to use---Good Luck.

Husqvarna wants 5W50 full synthetic motor oil in their hydros.
Actually that was a Tuff Torq requirement not Husqvarna.

I left one number off the model number sorry, It is 521613x89A
It is in partstree. It shows the axle, but no part number and lists it as Not available. I will have to look and see if there is any tags or stickers on the axle.
You'll need to ID the transmission itself. The original dealer parts books don't list a transmission model or even a part number for those. It just says to contact the regional distributor for a replacement.
I would call PartsTree and see if they can give you the transaxle manufacturer's name and model number.

I found a number on the pan of the tractor. It is a Tuff Torq K62 and uses Hy Gard John Deere Hydraulic fluid.

Nice transaxle. Info might help someone in the future.
