After testing the stator output and battery voltage, I was able to narrow down the issue of my batteries running down to the voltage regulator. When the engine was running, the voltage at the battery was only at 12.2 volts with the old voltage regulator. After I put the new voltage regulator in, the voltage at the battery went up to 14.4 volts. The lack of voltage going to the battery from the regulator meant that my battery was never getting a charge from the engine. I'm pretty sure I have the problem solved.

Thanks for the input!!
