I am wondering how to set this adjustment. Replaced cam shaft timing gear. After replacing cover how is this thrust adjustment set? Thanks for any help.

I posted thread calling this a thrust bolt. I guess it is called a lock bolt. Can anyone help with how to adjust it? I would think that maybe you run it in to contact and then back it out a bit. Thanks for any help.

Yea I guess I left out some information. The tractor in Question is a Allis Chalmers D17. And it is the timing cover cam shaft lock bolt. how do I set adjustment? Thanks.
