Tiller Lift Cable

1085 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  glenn27
I just purchased a tiller and installed on my 416-H. My tractor came with a powerflow bagging system, and unfortunately I did not notice that the assembly lift lever would hit on a nut holding the bagger bracket. Hence, snapped lift cable. I was surprised at the $30+ price for a new one, and was wondering if anyone had made one, out of hardware store cable, that lasted? If so, what did you use to secure the cable ends? Photo?

Thanks Much!

Thanks Teddy. I have heard of that place, but have never been there. Will go check it out next week.

Thanks again!

It's commonly called a swedge--get it for the right size cable----usually made of aluminum--unless you have a hyd. press to conform metal ones....
