Since you guys love pictures so well, I thought I would take you on a journey from the very start to the very end, perhaps you have an area that you are looking for ideas. This project will use the 35D excavator, 3320 and 2520 CUTS

I have an old banking friend that builds and sells home, ran into him a while back and in short, he has hired us to do the land/hard scape for all his new homes. Basically I meet with him and the new homeowners, I let them do the talking, ask a few questions, talk to the children, do they have pets, what do they like to do outside, is the wife a green thumb or likes low maintenance etc. so this is my design and I do it as we are talking, throqing out ideas.

So guys, here is the plan

I started with the four kids who are 7 to 12 I wanted to think of something quick I could do for them, I asked a couple of questions and had the plan in my head, said kids lets talk about your area first, they love their trampoline, said it was their favorite outdoor activity.

1) This is one side of the house, first thing to do is dig a trench so that I can run electrical to the back deck area, I am going to incorporate low voltage lighting on the sides of my steps

2)Electrical trench is dug and ready for cable, being done today

3) This is the back yard and berm, a berm is designed to intercept water from the hill, I will dig it deeper, install 4" sock wrapped drain tile, 1" clear stone and then colored river rock. I need to change it's direction so that it does not interfere with my play area

4) Plateau - I will dig a Plateau into this side hill large enough for four swings, use landscape steps lighted to get up to it, area will have pea gravel, the back hill will be double grind mulch, trees will be cleaned up and chipped, we will use the chips as mulch, there will be an arched bridge across the berm, lighted, that I will build out of a wood called Ipe.

5) Play area basically a 24 X 24 flat area for the trampoline, it will have colored pea gravel for their trampoline to sit on, four feed in width of pea gravel around the trampoline edged with RTF hydroseed

6) I started digging for the above in ground swimming pool as it needs to be installed before I finish the fence

7) This shows the fence area we are building, basically for their two dogs they will have a seperate fence in this area, also blocks off walkers by on the community path from seeing everything

8) Landscape step samples we have used on other sites

Stay tuned for progress pictures, I finished the play area yesterday and dug for the pool.

This project time budget will be 10 days, we will use a 35D excavator, 2520 and 3570 tractors, I do all grading and digging, two staff will come and do the tree work, two staff will come and do the landscape steps, my construction crew will do the fence and deck around the pool, my landscaping guys will spread garden and top soil, mulch, river rock, pea gravel, my excavation crew will help install the steps and install the drain. They will not all be there at the same time, for example today is raining so the tree crew arrives there at 7:30 am to cut trees and chip, this afternoon our dump trailer will arrive and grub, stumps etc will be loaded, then look out tomorrow, fence crew on site, I will ginish the pool, 3570 will move fill to an area I want to build up, excavation crew will deepen the berm and change direction, probably use the 17D excavator for this, the 2520 will move clear rock to the pool area followed by crusher dust for the base, the 3570 will then fill the drain with 1" clear rock followed by landscape fabric and river rock....the budget is $35,000
