Yup--saw that annoying Billy Mays "s-yelling" a new product on his new TV show and on an infomercial yesterday..thing looks pretty impressive though,I admit..but I'm skeptical as to how long the blades last, and how costly they are, plus the saw itself must be expensive too (I couldn't stay tuned to watch the whole thing, but I saw them cut an Escort in two with one!)..

Anyone buy one of these yet?..I had to use a sawsall to hack through a hunk of 3/8" thick stock about 2" wide yesterday, and thought that saw might be handy--I was out of cutoff wheels,so I had to use the sawsall..it wasn't my idea of fun!..I wonder if the "Dual-Saw" would cut something like that more than once, and not need new blades?..

Billy Mays has a new British partner and they have a reality show called "Pitchmen". I saw the episode where they decided the dual saw was a product they would take on. I was impressed by the saw in spite of Billy Mays. The British partner says if you think Billy is loud on TV, you ought to be in the same room with him!

Comes with "lubricating sticks"? I don't want to need no stinkin' lubricating sticks. When the going gets tuff with my Sawzall I use my cutting oil pumper. If it's really tough going I go circular saw w/metal cut blade. OK, so there's no sparks... what's the fun in that? That can of acetone I spilled should be dried up by the time I got to cut steel anyway.

At $180 for the "kit", I'll wait here with my 6 dozen spare Sawzall blades while some others give it a tryout.

I can't say that Billy Mays is the most annoying pitchman! It's got to be tied between the dog that yells about 'Beggin Strips' and that bald headed, retard that dances on the Six Flags commercials. 'More Flags, More Fun!!!

I remember a post on here a while back talking about these saws (sears) and the consensus was mixed - some burned up and a couple were OK. I think it is a good idea if the thing were more durable. I wonder how much junk gets caught in the counter rotating blades?

Well, take it from a guy that survived TV in the '50's with pitchmen like Dave Clark hawking "Charles Antell Formula #9" hair goo and Bob Bryer selling pots and pans and knife sharpeners every few minutes during "Million Dollar Movie"... In those days it was common for all commercials to take up from 1 to 2 full minutes of program time per commercial and maybe seveeral in a row. AND NO "REMOTE COMMERCIAL SAFETY MUTE SWITCH"!:D

I can handle the Six Flags guy just by imagining knocking his dumb glasses off his stupid head... and for the dog, well, he just wouldn't be IN my house.... But what get's me are the dang "itchy female" commercials! I just keep wondering where all them good looking women picked up all that nasty business... Glad I'm not "dating" anymore... might give me some real hesitant second thoughts on Saturday nights...:ROF
