You mean what. The guy told me it was a John Deere that was only made in 67. I am color blind, it looked green to me. Oh well I can always paint it and call it a Cat. But the Cub boys would get mad at me. :sidelaugh

That's a 122, ya silly goose! Refill your coffee and try again!
Actually, you know, I went back to bed for another 5 hours (once the kidlet finally went back to bed at 5:00 am and it looks FAR more like a cub cadet now!

I do not think so. I have to many keepers now. The guy that sold it to me said he may want to buy it back once done.:trink39:

That's funny - are you gonna make a decent profit on it?
When the Great Orange J D puts his hands on it. It is now a master piece. And not to many people get the chance to own one of my fine master pieces. If he wants to buy it back he will pay the going price. :sidelaugh

It's great that you're so modest, and humble!

So is it going to be simply a cosmetic restore, or an all-out restoration?

He likes to tinker with tractors, that we know! And it would be cool if the PO got it back, and then everyone is happy!

I am not real sure about this one. I haven't had time to really look at it yet.
But it will get a new paint job, so if I take it all apart for that I am sure it will get the full treatment. Any tractor at that age you are a fool not go the full 100 yards with it. I gave it a fast once over and everything looked it was there. The gas tank has a small leak, so once I fix that and get her up and running and take her for a test drive that will tell a lot. Just to busy lately and can't do the things I want to do. And I have a lady that has a 42 year old Snapper she wants me to make it new again. And I have a house in Fairfield Plantation I had to get ready to rent out. Some day I am going to retire. :thThumbsU

Sounds good. You'll probably end up doing just as much work when you retire! It's hard to work your whole life, and then just up and change your habits that quickly. The good part is that you will be able to work on the things that you truly enjoy.

You're gonna have to share with us your progress! If it were me, and I restored that 122, I'd keep it and sell the 1100. 122 is a more capable machine, but it's all in what your preferences are!

jsoluna I have been retired for 3 years now and the work load gets bigger every year. Everybody thinks this ol fart has nothing better to do, so they try to fill my free time. And this real estate stuff is growing bigger all the time, and now a company wants me to do there 360 panorama photography for them. So where does my tractor time come. :crybaby: Yes the 1100 will go, but first I have to make it nice, I have not done a thing to it yet. And the 122 will go to, when done. And so will the 212 once I get the 110 done. And I think I will have someone beat the crap out of me if they catch me looking at craigslist.:sidelaugh Well you get the picture.:thThumbsU
