Tecumseh vs Preditor, Briggs intec type motors

Hey guys,bought a Tecumseh Generator.Most of the low price generators are Chinese briggs or preditor,lifefan type motors.I convinced myself that Tecumseh is probably better and made in America. But I don't really know,anyone got an opinion?

This engine might be the same as that Tecumseh ...might be worth picking up a spare for the cheap price while some are still available..I think these are priced low due to the crankshaft having the special taper for a generator..

The engine I posted the link too is selling for about $140..brand new..probably leftover stock they bought up ..

Edit..says "Not for sale or use in California".....:tango_face_sad:

So you'll have to have it smuggled in...:tango_face_devil:
