Tecumseh 143.416082 ser1956d Craftsman cover markings / block taged sbv2290 ser 3008f , what is the true Tecumseh desination of this motor ? having trouble with carb, the main jet adustment screw is not changing how it runs , any help getting this to run out better would be appericated

That sbv number is a Tecumseh number for a replacement short block. You can use the Sears number to cross to the Tecumseh model. I think the model you show in the last post may be good.
Also, you can go to the Sears web site and use the 143 number to look up parts.

I did find that engine ovxl125 but with a different spec number in my master parts manual,the spec number that's in my book is the only one listed but my book hasn't been updated since 1989 so I don't know if that engine was a model they were just coming out with or something that they only used for a short time.Anyway,that should be the correct model number,I double checked it at the Sears site and the part numbers for the block are the same.

I looked yesterday in my books for a crossover number and I couldn't find anything with that number but I'm not sure if I'm missing pages or what because I skip from 143.39xxxx to 143.5xxxxx.Sorry:goodl:
I don't think your missing pages, I have a Prime Line parts book and it skips the numbers just like yours does. Not sure why but anywho there you have it.

Tecumseh "Destination"? Scrap.
