I was wondering if someone with an eye for technical drawings could take a look at the T-40, and the K-46 and be able to tell what the differences are?.

click on the catalog and it will show all the TT transaxles.

Most of those who have commented on this subject seem to agree that the tolerances for the T-40 are not as tight as for the K46. The same basic tranny just a bit lower down on the TT food chain. Throw in the K46 "C" "HD", etc... designations that are listed by some tractor manufacturers (in their parts manuals) and now you can really get confused.

This should be an interesting post.

According to the web site cataloge the T40 is cheaper to replace than the K46. By about $60... but other than that I could not find anything that shows why or what is the differance. Their diagrams are marked "actual parts may not appear as shown". So you cant tell by their diagrams.:fing20:
