Hello,

The oil light on the systems indicator monitor on my Troy Bilt LTX-1842 lawn tractor does not illuminate when starting the engine. Would y'all happen to know if there is a way to test the light itself or could it be the pressure switch on the engine. Any advice would be appreciated.

The light is not replaceable, it's part of the indicator module. Pull the connector to the oil sensor and short it to ground. (Not the side that goes to the switch, the side that comes from the wiring/switch side) Turn the ignition switch to start. Does the lamp light? Yes, the oil sensor switch is likely the culprit. No, the module is likely the culprit.
