Well I have the same grasshopper plague as KENinTX. Some other critter problems.
Wolf spiders, Almost the size of transulas, no concern, just scare the crap out of you when they appear.
Red wasps, They catch wolf spiders, couple good vids to post.
Black/blue mud dobbers. pain when working with water outside.
Banna spiders, Big, catch grass hoppers, No problem with them, they stay put and don't travel. got a couple vids on youtube.
Worst one, we have a rash of black widows now. Latest pictures.
All help with the Grasshoper plague, but I draw the line at the widdows:Stop:

Geez, you Texans are sure getting the critters this year! :sorry1: Keep them out of the Dr Pepper!:fing32:
Same here except for the widows..Seems like the wolf spiders are everywhere..
I probally kill 100's of the wolfs when I weed eat around the house. Lately the Wolves have been comming in due to the heat. The Bananna spiders are huge, feasting on the abundent grass hoppers. Not sure why so many mud dobbers and red wasps, other than the heat. Black widows new this year, Killing them as I find them. 3 or 4 so far.

Banana spiders????? Are they yellow and black??? Known as garden spiders around here.
Wow, what a great post to prime me for opening my folk's house in S. Utah! Been closed up almost a year and I'm wondering what I'll see in there... :ROF
Those are some beautiful spider shots. And one of the biggest widows I've seen in a while.

I love the wolfs. So big and mean looking.
