The tractors are diferent in certain ways. The deck might work,not sure. You could try looking on JDparts.com and verifing the parts are the same? I have owned both styles. Never tried to swap decks. We welded our black deck where it cracked.
STX38 mower decks
I have a STX38 black deck and the mounting brackets are starting to crack thru the deck. I have located a STX38 yellow deck for parts and I'm asking if that deck is the same as the black and can be installed with little modifications, if any.
