There is a G100 without engine on my local CL. I have a Kaw FC540V setting in my storage shed, would it fit the G100? The owner is asking $500, I was thinking I could put the engine on it and flip it possibly? He says it has 60 inch deck but I'm guessing its probably a 54. Would it be a good project and would my engine work?

That engine came on the GT275, the model the G100 was based on. Wiring would be up to you.

Won't fit without major wiring and the fact that the fc540v you have is most likely a 1 - 1/8" crank and the Kohler that in is the G is 1".
