Stihl Universal Oil -Awesome

Switched over to the full-synthetic variety. Both the Echo trimmer and Lawnboy mower are running great. It's much more convenient not to have a mix for every machine. As an aside, the Echo string trimmer runs much better on the Stihl oil than it did on the Echo Power Blend. Was hard starting on the Power Blend, often 5 or 6 pulls and it sounded rough. Now with the Stihl, one pull and she's already in high gear. Just a thought for you who find your stuff hard to start.

compatable with all 2 cycle?
I use the Stihl oil in my Stihl trimmer and chainsaw. They both start and run very well. The oil's pricey, but it's worth it to me.

Yes, the Stilh oil is supposed to be compatible with all. Before this I was using Amsoil in my Lawn Boy and had a hard time starting that. I switched to the Lawn Boy oil and it started easier, but the LB oil stinks and smells your clothes up something aweful. I hadn't run the LB in a week, and went out yesterday and she started on the first pull with the Stihl oil in the mix. No smoke that I can see after the initial start-up.

Cost is $2.00 for a 2.6 oz bottle that will mix a gallon of fuel. This is for the FULL SYNTHETIC called "Ultra". But it's the convenience of not having a separate mixture for every 2-cycle machine in your shed. Do you really need a separate gas can for the mower, trimmer, chain saw, and hedge clipper??? Not sure I would use the 50:1 mix in a very old Homelite XL chainsaw, as Homelite is calling for a 16:1 ratio for that. But that was in the days before synthetic oils, and I might try a 25:1 mixture with the Stihl oil.
