I am not sure about the IH but our Allis Chalmers / WC had a roll pin thru it and was very tight. We had to heat the wheel hub glowing red and trhen with a three jaw gear puller pulled it off. It was a job but we did it. Heat was the trick though. Good luck.
steering wheel removal
ok i have tried everything to get a steering wheel offa 424 heat p.b blaster can't get it to budge any sugestions.

three jawed gear puller work took it off in two seconds heated it as hot as i could get it with lil propane tourch i had but it was enough to get it loose now ill take the wheel off the 424 and put it on the 140 which is down to the metal in all but two spotsI am not sure about the IH but our Allis Chalmers / WC had a roll pin thru it and was very tight.
