I've recently bought a 1955 Super 55 and I'm wondering if there's a safety switch available to keep it from starting unless the clutch is depressed. Seems like I've heard the 550’s have one.

You could add one yourself, make a mount for a ball switch that's normally open so it is depressed when you've got the clutch pressed in all the way, and splice the starter wire from the ignition switch to go through that ball switch. Then, the starter will only go if the clutch is pressed in...
