The bit last as long as any milling bit if used right.

I actually explored purchasing those a few years back. But when I calculated the feed rates, it was faster to drill and broach them, in my application. Still, you have to admire the ingenuity there. Thanks for the link. I'm sure there's a lot of people that have never seen it.

Got to agree.......
Drill and broach in 30 Rockwell or less material. A BIG part of broaching is a solid foundation fixture.

In our die work we would have pierced a pilot and EDM.........
