Hi fellas!

Got a used Statesman 46" deck, twin engine (see signature). She slipped the belt for the PTO (upper pulleys on deck mount). The problem I am having is with the spring attached to the PTO Idler Pulley spring. This spring is mounted (bolted) to the top of the PTO Idler Pulley and the other side popped free from 'wherever' it goes. This loose end has a hook type end.

Anyone know where this freed spring end hooks to? I look at the manual and don't see where it should connect to. Tried it in one spot but the PTO will not engage: just does that 'poofy poop' sound. Electric PTO switch by the by.

Need this mower as my YardMan leaked oil (when cold and not running) but don't know if cracked block or just bad seals. Other things keep braking so no time to see to it. No doubt when I do look at it, I'll be whining about that too!

Your right! The manual DOES show the end connected with the BOLT to the PTO Idler Pulley just as I stated is still attached on the machine.

Still WHERE does the OTHER end go? Which yet remains dangling on the machine.
