Hello gents! I now have two 990's, a 15hp and a 16hp. Neither of them have all the parts...naturally, but be that as it may.

Here's the problem. The hydro lever (speed control) wants to creep backwards. In other words, you push the lever forward, on both rigs, and the lever creeps backwards, slowing the tractor down. Any ideas? Think it's a pump thing?

Reid, it's just the nature of the beast. Actually, there is a friction spring, and a friction adjustment on the hydro lever. Yours may be broken like so many.

But, assuming you've looked at the manual and made those adjustments, a dragging brake or low low fluid, or low pressure (adjustable) could also cause this.

D-dogg, I had to laugh when I read your reply. Not your reply mind you, but when I bought the 15hp little did I know it had no brake parts AT ALL! Been looking for those.

I will check the friction adjustments...never thought to look at manual, Dohhh!
