I have two JD318s. I know of somebody who has a JD300 and a JD312 that have been apparently sitting for a while that I think he is looking to donate/scrap. My question is, anybody have an idea on how many parts on the 300 and 312 would be transferable to the 318s? Wheels, engine parts, mule drive, carburetor, deck wheels,...?

It would cost me a few hours of driving and of course the disgruntlement of my wife in having two more non-working tractors sitting around, but if the parts would be useful enough, it might be worth it.

not many parts, mower deck can be converted over, front snow blade, however the 312 & some 300's only has one hydraulic circuit from factory, the rear wheel/ tires are same with 300, some 312's had narrower rear wheels/tires. front wheels are interchangeable if 318 is old enough for 1" bearings. seats are same.
