the last snow in Iceland

hello this is may first post her and I wanted to post the last snow this winter.
I have a Simplicity sunstar with blower wich I rebild this winter.
to may nolids it is the only one in the country .
It was in a bad shape. All and I repeat all rusted to H***.
I got it running and it work well and I´m happy with the power of the tractor
and ignore the spelling may english is not good :thanku:
it was a bit cold thad day -12 and wind blowing.

:Welcome1: Welcome to the forum, Nice tractor. I wouldn't worry about your english, it's probably better than some of the people I know that grew up and went to school here, LOL. Looks to cold to suit me for this time of year.

The photos are 4 weeks old
we can have frosts from middle of september to middle of may.
we had som snow in 17 of june some 5 yeas ago but not staying more then 2 hours.
to day we have +13 and sun and I so glad thad the summer is coming.
in the sommer time the day are so long (her is no dark 24/7) for 1 1/5 month
I hadit with snow:Disgus:

for fun her is one photo from a rescue trip saving the white jeep
wich is nissa patrol on 44"tires.

Boy--those pictures bring back some dreaded memories...I was stationed @
Keflavik Naval station during a 13 month tour in 1971-72.
"Land of the Midnight Sun" (depending on the season.)...:banghead3

Oh--Yes--his pictures are the real thing!!!

Welcome aboard and please post often especially pictures, I like this stuff. Tell
us more about available equipment there. Also what's the vehicle pulling the
car out. I've never heard of a Sunstar looks great!

Never been to Iceland, but I've heard the summers and the women are both very beautiful.

oww great welcome
Grateful11/ the car is a Nissa patrol on 46" 2004 model and is oned bay the rescue team in may area.

I also have a Gravely L 1942 or 4 not sure.the problem is thad it is in a box.
I have willis overland 1958 not on plates.
Imperial 1990

I´m driving may snow cat upwards on our 2 biggest glacier(1.021 km2)Langjökull
and waiting for the jeeps.:cool:

Pesiman Very nice pictures and thanks for sharing them with us. I will dig up the name of the men i meet from your country. They where all very nice to talk with. They built up some Ford trucks put toppers on them and went up to the arctic circle in Canada. This would have been four or maybe five years ago. I will find the picture of my jeep beside there trucks.

I found some pictures 2 yrs old of the shop driveway
and bak then i clean with walk behind toro
and the Icelandic if you under stand this let me now

I spent quite a bit of time in Iceland in the 70s and the 80s . Been all over It. Just wondered where you are at. Never seen any trees except the ones at Kef. Did a job at whale bay at the Nato fuel pier in the 80s. there is an Icelandic saying there "No mutton for sutton".
