Hello,

I have a used 42" JD snowblade and a bunch of parts that came with it. I have contacted JD customer service with pics and the serial #, but they can't tell me anything about it, or what it will fit, other than the fact they know it won't fit my new X300. I would appreciate any input. I am attaching pics of the blade itself and the parts I got with it (weights, etc.) and for the life of me I can't figure out how this thing assembles, and can't find anything on the net either to give me a clue. Can anybody out there shed some light as to what JD models this thing might fit, and if I have all the necessary parts? I don't have anything but what you see in the pics. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Dustman777

Re: Snow blade iinfo, any ideas?

Welcome to MTF Dustman!

IS there a plow available for your model X300?

If you could see one, how it's mounted and the way it works...chances are pretty fair that you could fabricate the mount to fit your collection of parts and blade. The pictures indicate a manual lift and mechanical 'trip' so it might just be a matter of initial setup and very little fabrication for the mounts....

I'm not familiar with your model(s) and believe someone with more experience will have better suggestions, or may have a setup you can copy from...IMO - You just got too much good stuff laying around to start all over again (or from scratch anyway :D)

That blade looks similar to the blade for my X300, but with a few extra parts.

Here is a link to the manual for the 44" blade that fits the X300. Maybe you can adapt this blade to fit by looking at the diagrams in the manual.

That is the exact blade which I have for my 175, which will also fit the 130, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180, and 185. I also believe it may fit the 108-116 series with with an adapter which goes over the lift lever. Those weights are also for these series. It also looks like you have the bracket for a bagger mixed in those parts.
