I've seen a nylon? (it's white plastic looking) cover that goes onto the speed selector and turns them into a 15 speed. Look on ebay, that's where I've seen them. Basically an infinate speed selection available with the friction disk, it's the stops that make it set in one speed. MOre stops, more speed selection! If you don't want that I'd go with the 6 speed selector. More is better. That's what I hate about 3 speed transmissions. 1 is way to slow, 2 is just a fuzz to slow and 3 is usually retarded fast! Thats why I like the JD SB14, 5 speeds and 4 is usually the best for me.
