My JD445 lawn tractor hydraulic system does not operate very well until it wams up, once it warms up it acts fine. The power steering and lawn deck lift are slow and jerky when trying to operate when cold. I have checked the fluid and it is ok, any suggestions?

I would also investigate the hydaulic fluid and conformance to JD Spec; especially viscosity.

Works great after changing the filter and oil.
