I just ordered the SKU23045 44" Snow Blower along with BM17976 Rear Wheel weights and BM17977 attaching hardware for the wheel weights. This will go on my 2008 X500. I have rear tire chains.

The Dealer says it should arrive at the dealership on November 2nd. We will then make arrangements for them to set it up.

I have the 48" Front Blade for when we get that nasty, sloppy wet stuff here in Western Washington.

I am excited, I am PUMPED, almost giddy! :trink39:

Loren, looks killer:trink39:
I am going to look at mine today at the dealer.
Some time, I will bring the blower home in my truck, how are the packaged?
It was a tight fit but I was able to get the blower in the box in the back of my ford explorer last yr. The dealer loaded it with a towmotor and it has a little weight to it so get someone to help you unload it.

I did get to try the Snowblower out today. It certainly wasn't ideal Snowblower conditions, butt what ya gonna do? I suited up and headed to the barn.

The snow was typical Western Washington 32-33 degree slop. When it got to 4" I could wait no longer. As I guessed this type snow is best handled my front blade. Or more likely wait a couple days and the rain will take the snow away.

Anyway I did gain some knowledge about the SKU23045 44" Snow Blower's capabilities. After a half dozen attempts it was obvious this Blower isn't going to "blow" soft ice. That's okay, I bought it for those times we get that dry snow.

I did use the Blower as blade. When I got to the mailbox, 1300' from the barn, there was a 3 foot 60 foot high Maple across the driveway. Back to the barn to get the ol' Stihl chainsaw.

Luckily the tree fell diagonally with the biggest part of the tree blow the driveway. I limbed the tree out and hacked what was in the driveway up in manageable pieces. Then use the Blower, very very carefully, to nudge the limbs and pieces out of the way.

So that's my new Blower story.

let us know how the suitcase weight works for ya instead of the wheel weights.
wmupaprmkr ;-) here's some information on the Suitcase weights. First off when the dealership brought the X500 and blower home after setting it up in their shop one of the weights had jumped off the bar the weights sit on. It caught on the fold-up tailgate/ramp of the trailer and rode home there. That would take a mighty big bump to jump a 40 pound weight. Something to keep in mind if hauling the x500 with the weights mounted.

Anyway I do like that the weights can be added or taken off in seconds. They sit on the bar that the Rear Bagger attaches to. This seem to me not a great idea. The 4 weights weight in at a total 160 pounds. I reefed on the bolts pretty good to hold them in place.

After a few minutes of Blowing Snow the weights had pulled the bar down to where the weights were resting on the tow bar hitch. This probably isn't too bad. It just strikes me as slipshod. Whatever...it'll work I'm guessing.

Yep, can't believe they didn't notice a weight bouncing in the bed, must've had their "tunes" up pretty good and thought the drummer was really hitting the bass drum hard!
Now ....now lets not be too hard on the delivery guy. He was driving a nice 4 wheel drive pickup with a 20'~~~~~ drive up on trailer the x500 was rid'n on. Stuph happens....it's not a perfect world. Har!

I woke up to 23º yesterday (November 23rd 2010). A 25 year record low for November. After my dismal attempt blowing wet heavy snow slop on the 22nd I wanted to see just what this machine could do.

Man OH! Man I was mov'n some snow. It was shooting a stream of snow 150' down hill and down wind. A beautiful and exciting sight. The snow was only 4-6 inches deep with a good crunch under the foot, butt I'm here ta tell ya I was hav'n some fun.

The driveway is about 1300' from the Mail Box to the barn with the house in the middle at about the 650' point. Pretty flat and straight. Maybe a 10 foot rise over the whole distance and slight curve from the Mail Box to the house as the route follows the side-hill.
