Hey guys, I have an older Simplicity Cavalier that I have used at my cabin for the past two years. It fired right up this year, but it just did not not seem to have much power when going up any kind of incline. Then after mowing for a while, I backed up and went to go forward an nothing.... nada.... nadda....naddda. I tried to go in reverse but no luck there either. The mowing deck was working fine and the Briggs was purring right along but no movement.
With this thing being at a remote location, I would like to try and fix it if I can with out hauling it to town. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rowdy

Sounds like the old briggs may have had a bottom seal leak and ate up the drive belt...it slipped enough that it finally broke.
