I found this snow blower on cl about 200 miles away. He is firm at $300. It looks to be in good shape and has all hardware to mount to my 214, but I'm not familiar with them and don't know if everything is there. Do you see anything missing? How does it raise and lower? Thanks for the info.

Missing front lift that is usually considered part of the tractor, but you will need it to lift this blower or a blade. Nice that it has the pulley and lift link. (wired together shown in pictures 2, 3, and 5 of the first post)
It looks to be in good shape. that price is average for Ontario, Canada. Not sure for SC...

Price seems a little high, but it is peak season and I'm not looking for a snow blower in South Carolina.

LOL, these are impossible to find in SC. I just moved to Idaho, guess I forgot to update my profile.

Does anybody have a pic of the front lift? I'm not sure I read it right but does it use the lift arm from the deck? Mine does not have electric lift.

It will cost me about $75 in gas to go get it so my total investment will be closer to $400

Here is a picture of the front lift rod and lever, the arm wired to the pulley is attached to the end of it. Electric or hydraulic lift would work on the rocker arm and through the lift rod to work. Looking at the numbers on the rod # 1 is the rocker arm, and # 2 is at the front of the tractor, you have to look up from under to see if it is there.

Yes it is all there with the exception (as others have said) of the lift rod and bracket on the tractor. From the rock shaft to the front of the tractor. Otherwise the lift bracket from the tractor to the blower is there along with the pulley that you would need to bolt onto your pto. I would say the price is a bit high here in Minnesota. They sit on cl for $150 in the condition you are looking at. Are there others for sale? For that price you could probably freight one from ebay to your door.

That's kinda what I was thinking but I hate buying something I haven't seen in person. At least with this one if I get there and find out something is wrong with it I can walk away and only be out the cost of gas.

Where can I find the lift rod and bracket for the tractor, how much should that cost me?

Are you sure your tractor doesn't have one? My 214 came with it, along with the optional helper spring. Look under the front left hand side of the grill. You should see a bracket that looks like this:

The rod sticking through the hole is the lift rod.
