This keeps coming up on Craigslist periodically. I think it would look nice in the garage, but I can't seem to convince the wife, though.

You need that. And then you need to post pictures of it in your shop. Try using the "I didn't get what I really wanted for Christmas card so I'll just buy my own present" out of the "deck of excuses" you earn when you get married. Its possible that it will work even if you really did get what you wanted. That's a nice sign...

I don't think that particular excuse would work on my better half - I'll have to shuffle that deck of excuses and look for another. :)

The problem, as I see it, is that you are wanting to spend $300 on something you want for yourself. Have you considered that she may secretly want that sign and would be thrilled if you bought it as a surprise gift for her.

Ground hogs day is coming up and I'll bet you've not yet gotten her a gift.:fing32:

That's funny that you mention that. She has several times told me how idiotic it was of her Dad to by her and her brother a 20 foot power boat for Christmas one year. That guy totally knew what he was doing ("I'll just tell the kids that it's for ALL of us!")
