My 2003 Cub Cadet 1525 was long overdue for a service and I finally got around to it today. It is currently at 565 hours. The oil and oil filter only have about 15 or 20 hours, but it's probably been a while for everything else. So I changed the spark plugs, the air filter, cleaned the air pre-filter, changed the fuel filter, changed the oil and oil filter, greased all the zerks, replaced a couple broken zerks, cleaned it off and sharpened a spare set of blades and installed them. And lastly I filled it up with some fresh 89 octane gas. The belts aren't too old and are still in good shape so I left them alone. I changed the fuel line from tank to carb a couple years ago so it should still be fine, and I changed the transaxle fluid at around 425 hours and again around 475 hours, so it should be okay. I'm hoping this machine will still last a while longer. Cosmetically it's beginning to show it's age but mechanically it still seems to be doing well.
