I am new to all of this! I have a Sears 143.700012 Ser 0035E. The chart says this is a OH180. The parts lists that I have found show different numbers in front of the OH180 i.e. 180064F-OH180. Is mine a 180035E-OH180? This motor is missing some parts (air filter, gas tank, starter switch assembly) and I want to get the right stuff to make this hoss roll!

180064F is the 'spec' number.

Yes- I looked at the Sticky- That is how I found out that my 143.70012 is a OH180.

is the list for a OH180-180035E as opposed to the link above which is for a OH180-180064F. The one for the 64F shows a starter switch assembly and the one for the 35E does not. The manual listed here for the OH series shows two different starter switch assemblies, one heavy duty with a meter and one without. The starter switch assembly, of course, is one of the parts that I am missing! I suspect that I can make my own based on the wiring diagram in the OH manual but would like some light shed on this.

according to the tecumseh manual it is an oh180-180001. you can go to sears parts direct website and put in your 143.700012 number and get the diagram.

What is this engine on, the equipment manufacture supplies the switch assembly most of the time.

Right now it's on my workbench! I got it for a project- I think I have it figured out- at least how to start it! Thanks!
