Anyone have a manual for a 8 hp Briggs early 80's?

My other questions are:
-What lube and type is used in the gearbox? Grease or oil?
-Attaching the handles, there is a tapered bushing on each side held in place with a 3/8" threaded bolt, which direction does the taper go on the machine?

90W gear oil for the gearcase.

Can't help with the handle attachment, as my 3-point doesn't have handles.

You can download the manual on Briggs' site. Start with locating the model number.

I do not have a model number only a serial number 626261 in Canada. Parts direct was no help.
