I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my back ordered GT-5000. It should be here on July 3rd. I currently own my 1971 Sears Custom 8e with a front snow plow. This plow has been awesome and has cleared snow for years issue free. It has bars that mount on the front bracket of the plow and goes all the way to the back of the tractor and mounts to a bar that is behind the rear bracket where a hitch would go. I could push any amount of snow or material with out a fear of bending anything because it uses the whole frame of the tractor to push!
I am looking for a plow for the GT-5000 and was wondering if this plow would be strong enough without bending to work well. I looked at the instruction manual on line and did not see much that would use the frame of the tractor. Is this correct? It is supposed to be Sears’s biggest plow. Found here: Model# 24414 - http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07124414000P?mv=rr#descriptionAnchor

I may be wrong with this statement but it even looks like the Johnny bucket plow/bucket is not using much of the frame for pushing. The JB is a bit over my price range but was looking at it a bit for mounting.
If this is not a decent plow (the one I listed above) does anyone know where I can find one for a reasonable amount of money?

Thanks

The Sears blade is a dozer blade, marketed to move dirt, gravel and snow. It attaches to the frame securely with the side plates. When in use most of the weight wil be off the frame and the resistance will be lengthwise until you lift the blade. Then you probably won't be pushing too much weight. It weighs 120 lbs. which should not stress the frame. It is their biggest blade and you shouldn't have a problem with it. :thThumbsU

am having a hard time puting togather my dozer blade to manny part to it
Take your time and follow the directions. I put mine together in about 4 hours but I had laid all the parts out first and had read through the instructions the night before. I would say if I had not followed the instructions it would have taken a full day or more!
