I come across this guy thru a kijiji ad, says he wants to sell out everything in brand specific packages, tells me he has three ford open side 145s, 3 decks, 2 blowers, 1 tiller, and 1 blade.... asking $2000. I think he needs to come down quite a bit but if anyone here wants to partner up with me I might try work a deal with him. I had my sister and her friend go check it out last weekend and take a few pics for me.

**** never near me. I would love to get that ford 100 series in the back ground. Appears to be in good shape.

Why don't you US boys start some GT scrapyard threads like I did for Ontario. Could be State by State or regional. There may be more out there than you realize (the wrecks gotta be somewhere) and you got nothing to loose by trying.

IF you do, it would be better posted where all brands can contribute.:howdy:

Come on Guys, lets hear who knows what.:thanku:

Theres more Fords there than he mentioned in em's so I may try and work them into the package aswell, and I believe he mentioned a couple of Allis with k341's

Wasnt plannin on starting a GT scrap yard but I do like package deals, and its pretty easy to sell stuff here because Im just off a major highway, park anything in the front yard and people stop to look, I rarely advertise anything.

Im thinking I'll take my f150 and 16' flatdeck, and see what I can end up with. There's even an early Baracuda in that mess, similar body to the old Valiants, pretty much original down to the hubcaps but rough condition, asking $5000

Lance, the idea is not so far off base. Why couldn't you start a small GT recycling yard. You've got the knowledge and the location, just got to be able to buy dirt cheap. It would be a fun part time job and used GT suppliers are few and far between north of the 49th.

Make the guy in Vernon a silly offer on a full load and if he wants to get out, odds are he will take it. Cash talks, especially in lump sums.

Have you got more pics?

Ya I have pics alright...lol, 1/2 dozen from the dude, and about 20 from my sisters visit. He has two yards like this, sister said she thinks he's been told by the rm to clean them up.

I dont mind the idea of bringing a few extras, but I hate sht outside around my yard unless its out by the highway with a for sale sign, and not usually more than one or two at a time, I'll have to build a door into an old grainary if I bring home much more as it is, I wouldnt want everything he has, but if I make enough of a dent I might get a pretty good price, will see.

Think I noticed a sears but I'll have about a 4000lb max limit, truck only has a 302 so not much power for pulling thru the Rockies. Im after the Ford 145's and maybe something else with a K341, plus attachments. I'll look at everything while Im there but my next choice would be mtd 960/990's.

Tom... I just noticed a TE 20 in your sig, that have a factory hydro system? Im going to look at a Ferguson tomorrow, owner isnt to sure what he has but I checked the serial # and think its either a TEA 20(1950) or a TO 35(1955), got that off Tractordata.com

Any info you can share on these would be appreciated.

The Ferguson T series tractors all had hydraulic systems, however these only ran the 3 point hitch. Some TO35 were able to be plumbed for a external hydraulic line, but they messy and not efficient. They are not the easiest to run a bush hog with, and unless the have a auxiliary transmission, are useless on a rototiller. They work well doing what they were designed for, which was ploughing. I use mine to do a little mowing, to move snow, and to disc.

Parts are easy to get, however im having to import points from the UK as the only place in Edmonton has a 8-10 week wait.

Its just a Kijiji ad from Vernon that I replied to one day via email, didnt save it to favorites tho so dont have the ph#, I would have searched using keywords "garden tractor". ad title was "Vintage garden tractors" (I think)

Dont tell him you heard it from me.....lolol... dont think he likes me anymore, I only offered $700 on his $2000 package of three tractors because I dont believe anything in the pile of crap should be sold as a "Running" tractor, they have obviously been sitting outside along time so the gas tanks all have to be properly cleaned, filters all replaced, buy a battery.... lots of work even if something was running when he got it. Plus if he has been told by the RM to cleanup his yards.... he will get more negotiable soon...lolol
