Lost the use of my SB800 snow blower today. The smaller gear reduction sprocket is spinning on the drive shaft. Not sure how it's attached but based on parts diagram, it's part number #2 listed below.

Not sure if I want to mess with trying to weld it back together or just by another for $50. It will take enough time to tear things down so that I can get to the part.

Found out today that the Walker Mower 42' snowblower shares a lot of parts with the Honda.

Not much interest in thread... but here is the new "updated" part. Compared to the old it is an evolutionary part, and unlikely to break again.

I purchased the part from a Walker Mowers dealer, and it is the correct one. Everything is back together and ready to test.

Is that your old sprocket welded to a new shaft? Hope it all works out well for you. No snow to use it on this winter so you'll have to wait til next winter like the rest of us...

you suggested "Not much interest in thread... but ..."

My 4518 with 42" deck and 42" blower was in pretty rough shape when I got it. I assure you that even though people may not post.....I expect alot of members and guests keep keep their machines running from info posted here on this site. I know I do.

So.....I encourage you and others to keep posting info. That being said, I'm going to try having my camera ready when I tear things apart.

Recently did rear engine seal and timing belt....had to split bases apart to do seal.....but she's good now.
