Well it has been a long time since I have been to the forum let alone post.
Well here in the PNW it is Salmon season and I have been catching some and then I filet some and vacuum bagged it then smoked some but yesterday I did a lite smoke and canned it a long with some jalapeno and garlic and some with dill and some plain. :tango_face_grin:

Nice! Around here I have to pay $15/lb for actual salmon (as opposed to farm raised science experiment salmon).

Anyone on the forum ever get into plank grilling it? That's my favorite way, thought a bit too smoky for the women in the house.

On our honeymoon at a resort in Mexico (around 14 years ago), they served omelettes with salmon in them. Unbelievable, don't think I've ever enjoyed breakfast as much as that week, before or since!
