Can you go by the amount of oil?

Posting this here... hoping it is relevant:

2.6 oz of oil added to 1 gallon of gas makes 50:1

5.2 oz of oil added to 1 gallon of gas makes 25:1

3.2 oz of oil added to 1 gallon makes 40:1

4 oz of oil added to 1 gallon makes 32:1

I don't want to start another oil argument... but Klotz is literally the best for 2 stroke engines.

5.2 oz of "other oil" to 1 gal.

You aren't going to go wrong by using 25:1...

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why 5.2 oz of any other oil(such as modern Lawn-Boy) if not Ryan which is 4 oz? Wouldn’t it be the same 4 oz of oil regardless of brand getting me a 32:1 ratio?

Well, that is what the old manual indicates... I am thinking that maybe the Ryan oil is a castor mix...
