There have been a couple of 60" decks on ebay recently. One is in deep south Iowa. Don't remember if it is right or left discharge.does any one know a ruff price what these mower deck go for. Plus plastic wheel weights.I traded my 60 inch deck for a tiller and a single bottom plow. I would say it is worth 350-400 tops, a lot less without the mule and carriage. Those may prove a real bear to find on their own.
I agree with Brian here. The RM60's generally sell from $700 to $1000 in good working condition and not all beat up. Many of these decks get the front pushed in or the discharge chute gets pretty well hammered from banging into objects such as trees, etc. If the mule drive bracket is missing then that plays a big role in the price of the deck as well. I recently sold a complete used mule drive bracket for the RM60 decks for $150. These brackets are almost impossible to come by used. If that deck is missing the mule drive mount then that is certainly a bargaining chip because it is not cheap to replace it, new or used.An RM60 intact with good pulleys and freshly running is worth the $700 quoted, IMHO. New is $2700 and yes I do sell them at that (2 new from our shop in the past 12 months).
An older M48 etc. is perhaps worth a fair bit less.
If this is missing all the mule drive componentry, that is really expensive to replace and likely will not be located used. If you drop me an Email with the details (photo?) on what's missing, I can give you some guidance. If only the main support frame, then it may be worth it.
The RM60 is my personal favorite ... used on a 1 1/2 acre property with plenty of trees. Amazing reduction in cutting time vs. RM48. But I do keep both in service, using the RM48 mostly for mulching and vacuum duty.
