It took a lot of cleaning, blasting, priming , painting and hard work to get it like this. Now for the scary part...Besides having carb upside down... Is: I have to sell it. After all that, I cannot do 2 tractors, I found out... so I am selling the ST 16 Stuff and restoring the SS Onan to keep. I had a recent life changing surgery and Injury... so I do not have the strength and stamina to do 2. Hope you like it... anyway. I will ebay in a few days... (I think)??? Buzz

Thats too bad you have to sell it,excellent job cleaning it up:fing32:
Looks great, but, .... it might run better with the carburetor right side up. :hide:
Looks good ! Hows it run ?

So what is the story with the carb ?

:ROF That's how all the carbs are positionted on a Bolens with a Tecumseh, I always thought it looked funny on the Sears.
These engines will not run with the carb upside down. I've seen engines with the carb in the position shown, but the carb float simply will not function with the carb upside down unless you removed the needle valve or you have changed the law of gravity.

Have you tried to start it yet?

Lord knows,I can be picky at times,:hide: But you might want to spin that belt guard around also,It should be mounted to the front of engine, when looking at the carb.
buzz,i have 2 ST16's and one engine needs help, but i'm too busy (lazy) to rebuld it. send me a PM on what you would want for that and maybe i could save you the trouble of putting it on Ebay.
