I was wondering how someone is supposed to clean out their resin/plastic type gas tank off of an Earthquake tiller. I am doing some small repairs on it for a relative. The fuel lines completely deteriorated which seems to be a common problem people are having with Earthquake tillers. Old gas and the fuel line material is reall stuck and caked onto the bottom of the gas tank. I put 2 inches of premium gas in it and let it sit for 1.5 days but that didn’t really do anything. Does anyone having any ideas that would work for me to remove the gunk?

I've used some of this carb. cleaner by removing the fuel tank and removing the fuel line fitting and plugging it and pouring some of the carb. cleaner in and doing exactly what Mark said and put in some nuts and bolts or gravel like what's used in fish tanks and going out daily and vigorously shaking and rolling the tank around for a few days and drain the tank and flush it out with hot water or maybe some fresh gas. https://www.autozone.com/fuel-and-e...VKxXUAR0n-wQrEAQYAiABEgLGxvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Well, I’ve cleaned it a couple times with vinegar and some bolts/nuts. Now though a small amount of residue from the bolts as well as specks of the old sticky fuel lines cover the interior of the gas tank. I finished getting out the majority of the fuel line residue but now the tank looks like this. :( Soapy water didn’t get these specks out nor did gasoline. I did accomplish the goal of getting 90 percent of the large sticky sedimentation of fuel lines out of the bottom of the tank but now I have this new problem. What should I do?
