I mowed a guy's yard (or hayfield it was 2 to 3 feet hi) cause he mower was broke.

He said thanks, would you take the old mower for trade for mowing.
I said sure I love parts, project stuff.

He picked up another rider and it came with a sweeper/dethather that he didnt want so he gave me that too.

It is a Hardware Hank model..............
broken motor, 12hp/38cut and rear stuck in one gear I guess.

Who do ya think made this ?
My guess is MTD maybe anyone ?

Edit, well I tried to attach images, but apparently too big for upload and nothing to make em smaller right not gRRrr

Forgot to mention he also just picked up a brand new starter that he threw in the deal too.
And a complete bagger setup looks to be off of a white lawn tractor.

here is a different angle. almost looks like the tractor in the post titled what is it, but with smaller wheels.

Hum, free I like though just thought I would share.
Hardware Hank still has TV adds around here so I guess there still open. LOL

MTD did all kinds of private branding for small chain-stores all across North America. Presumably, Hardware Hank is one of those operations. At one time, we had Handy Andy hardware stores that were owned and operated by Shell Oil. The stores were combined with the gas station operation. It was a short-lived idea and Shell shut it down after a few years.
