Rebuilding my LB 5100, parts needed

672 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Yard Nazi
Was getting my Lawnboy 5100 ready for storage and decided to give it a quick "tune up" before I put it away for the season. I tore down the engine and now need the following parts:

Upper crank seal
Lower crank seal
Crankcase to armature plate gasket
Cylinder base gasket
Reed plate to crankcase gasket
Coil
Points and condensor

Can anyone help me source these parts. I'm in Canada but would be happy to pay shipping and handling if needed. Please pm me with what you have, cost etc. Thanks! Vic

You might want to drop a PM to old lawnboy (Bill) down in southern Illinois. He has been an invaluable source for parts for the older C and D series engines.

Most of that can be found on eBay as well. Seems like it's been a great resource the last few years.
Hello this is my first post though I regularly reference this great forum. I have also just acquired a 5100 from an estate sale. I am debating whether to restore or sell off the parts. The mower is complete but the deck has some chunks missing where someone got into a rock or two. The engine is free and has good compression, however I am not getting a spark. Thinking maybe coil and/or condenser. Any thoughts?
