Rebuilding front pto

Has anyone taken apart and re installed a case 446
front pto? I took mine off while doing the repower. But even using the manual I must be missing something because I can't get everything to tighten down right and at the same time leave enough space between the clutch and plate.

The only practical advice I rely on is 1) ensure 100% all the parts are in there, in the right order, matching the cross section build up in the service manual (all shims, washers, etc), and 2) follow the instructions TO THE LETTER.

Can't describe other tricks much ... once you've mastered it, then it's like riding a bike. Do need to be sure the flywheel on the engine doesn't turn while setting bolt torque.
