Rear tire question?

I am using 23 x 8.5 x 12, 2 ply, called "Power Trac" by "Carlisle" on H14. I am not sure what the second number represents- width or height etc......someone maybe able to explain the values for a better understanding. I am thinking that they will fit.

23 is the diameter.
8.5 is the tread width (not the widest part of the tire).
12 is the rim diameter.
