deereguy you might check with JD on the part for your 485 not sure it is the same one andyb gave you for your tractor. In the instructions it mentioned if you were installing on anything other than a X700 which means the X485,X585, etc then there was a PTO module to be installed. It is some sort of electronic box that goes in under the dash. The instructions must be generic for multiple kits as it gave steps on how to install it and it looked to be simple plug and play setup but for the X700 its says to skip this section of the instructions as it is not needed for X700 machines and there was no PTO module packaged in my kit.
thanks maverick,
i will do that when i get ready to get one.

I copied this from the Deere website.

Because the PTO control module is included in the X700 Ultimate Series dash, the need to install it with the 540 rpm rear PTO drive is eliminated. BM20633 540 rpm rear PTO drive can be used on X700 Series by discarding the AM120840 module.

BM21914 540 rpm rear PTO drive can also be used on X400/X500 HDGT's with the addition of the AM120840 module.
ty andyb for the info
