Here in NW Wa. we've got temps in the 50's and now the Roses are getting confused(see pic). Some SW Wa. places reported low 60's this morning. Will winter ever come.

Yes, I had a rose blooming two weeks ago here in North Central Mass. To say that is unusual for December is an understatement.

No rose blooms here but I noticed some Easter Lilies poking up through the ground about an inch when taking down the Christmas lights on the South side of the house Sunday. The 14°F we had yesterday and this morning should get them out of the notion of growing for a few days.

It was 2*F yesterday morning here. The windchill was in the sub0*'s a good part of the day. The weather systems will be returning to a more "winter-like" pattern in about 2 weeks according to some of the ProMets. I had a male grackle at one of the bird feeding stations the past few days. He's about 2 months early.

We set a new record for the least amount of rainfall for a December at .88 inches. It was nearly 60 on Xmass day.

It's been unseasonably warm and dry, I see buds on the trees/plants. The temps are getting down into the upper 30's at night and mid to upper 40's during the days.

Still hoping for snow but I expect it just be the non-frozen precipitation as we head towards spring.
